WelcomeWelcome to Nu_Clear_Day’s Sims 3 Legacy Blog, chronicling the trials and tribulations of the Grey Legacy. This is an “unofficial” Legacy Challenge, meaning that I won’t be playing for points, and with a couple of changes to the basic rules outlined in Pinstar’s Legacy Challenge. This is a moderately adult-oriented Legacy story, in that it deals with adult themes and situations from time to time. Nothing graphic, and no explicit imagery or language; and certainly within the bounds of good taste. But I am attempting to apply real human emotions and motivations to the threads of what the game gives me; and there’s no telling where that’s going to lead from one day to the next. What I enjoy about doing a Legacy Story is the interplay between writing the story and playing the game, and how one constantly informs the other. I get as many suprises by stitching the events together into a cohesive story and watching how it plays out, as I do from watching what my Sims come up with from day to day. This is also serving as a sort of creative phystical therapy for me. I’m trying to focus more on the joy of creating than getting everything “perfect,” so you’ll have to forgive me if I go on a tangent from time to time. This will always be a “work in progress,” with lots of growing pains as I settle into a steady rhythm. There’s already lots I’d like to go back and change, but I’m trying to keep myself engaged with improving each time rather than poring over my previous misjudgements. |
