Author’s Note

Well, all caught up again. I think this is another example of how the game can continue to suprise you, actually. I was thinking at some point that Kaylee might want to “broaden” her horizons. She’d been working on her charisma skill (not very hard, I find – once you learn the skill it tends to level up quickly enough,) and I also got her the Attractive Lifetime Reward. So she’s making friends a lot quicker now. But all the “eligible gentlemen” she ran into weren’t much better than Aldo, really. Slim pickings at that school, I guess. :)

Still, I think Aldo’s kind of fun. I have some plans for those two, I think. Though I don’t want to say too much because it might not work out that way.

Uhm… not much else to say at this point. I have my new house now. There’s not too much in there at the moment, and I’ll probably change some things around as time goes on (still not sure that I’m happy with where the bathrooms are, for example.) There’s a sort of balcony up front, where they can have breakfast in the morning without having to go down stairs. That’s a technique I picked up in Sims 2, actually. I like having the bedrooms upstairs, but they have so little time before work most of the time that I find it helps to just put a room on the second floor so that they can take care of everything they need to, and not have to worry about going up and down stairs until the carpool comes.

Kaylee’s been suprising herself, through all of this. Looking back, I had kind of intended her to be kind of a nerd. Maybe working towards being an author or something. But she kind of went a different way. She picked up a lifetime wish way back as a Child to be a Master of the Arts, so that kind of informed everything else.

Anyway, back to playing the game. I’ve also really fallen behind on the other Legacies out here, so I intend to get caught back up on those, as well. :)

You really made something different using a comic style, good job :D

I like how you let the sims dictate the way the story goes–I’m too controlling (though I can’t dictate who will turn into a romantic interest). I also like that Kaylee met her half-brother–she will have a life that is so different from Katrin’s, at least in that she’ll have some semblance of a family even before having any children.

Another great chapter, I decided that I would keep my new story simple and won’t go with the comic style. This story is on my blogroll though as a fav, Good luck,I hope everything works out for Kaylee.

As Raquel said, my favorite part about reading your stories is how you let the characters make the choices and you just help them play it out. I usually decide before the baby is even a toddler where I want them to go and work at pushing them in that direction. Love you story!

Wow, Kaylee turned into quite a knock out. I’m glad she’s still into Aldo.
I have to say, I loved the picture of Lisa, VJ’s jealous wife. Her eyeshadow is the exact color of her jealousy! Did you notice that she has the same freckles as Katrin. VJ picked out someone who looked a bit like Kaitrin (excepting the blond hair).
